"This will be the home of the premier binational peace park in the world. This is where we will save the heart of our Gran Desierto"

The Gulf of California, A World Apart is a magnificently produced large format book. This work is profusely illustrated with some of the finest nature photography in the world with chapters contributed by renowned scientists and nature writers of Mexico and the United States. The book was produced to promote support for the conservation of the Gulf of California region and the surrounding Sonoran Desert including southern Arizona.

The Sonoran Corridor consists of seven and half million acres of protected lands that straddle the international border in southwestern Arizona and adjacent northwestern Mexico. Drylands Institute has supported the concept of a binational chain of protected areas by providing scientific information not otherwise available.
